His one hits hard. Sir Patrick Stewart has died.
Although many marvelled at his work in the X Men, I always found him most engaging as Jean-Luc Picard.
I think Stellaris Games said it best in their Facebook post:
“For many of us, the dream of exploring the galaxy had your voice. You showed us how to lead among the stars: with curiosity, diplomacy, empathy, and an unshakable belief in what we could become.
You spent your life telling us the future could be kinder, wiser and braver than the present. We believed you. We still do.
Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart.”
I always loved that he was a trained Shakespearean actor too. If you’re a fan of the bard, I suggest you listen to his Sonnet a Day series that he recorded during the Covid lockdowns in 2020.
